They would have been in their element on Townley Park or closer to home, Hackney Marshes. Your last sentence actually goes more towards proving that the league is a good league because you have a team at the top of the league who can score 7 against an opponent, however, because the league is so competitive, the same team can also concede 7 goals against a team much lower in the league.
The reality will all come out later in the season because there are still 24/25 games to play and it will be the same contenders who will fill the top places, thus proving that the league is not as good as the media say it is.

This is not a surprise to me because football these days is nowhere as good as it used to be and is obsessed with how many passes a team can make, how much possession they can have, how many passes they have in the last third of the pitch etc., etc. ad nauseam----like the statistic the other night that the Leeds goalkeeper made more passes than any Newcastle player in that match---so what?

That's what I heard OC, from a reliable source, it was virtually a done deal, then Roy changed his mind and decided to give it another year. Of course I have no idea if it was true or not, but that's what I was told.

The thing for me malwayne is that quietly away Liverpool are a very efficient football team , injuries galore and yet they are still getting the job done .

They aren't fluent fancy Dan football , just very efficient at what they do , can't see past them for The title.

As for klopp , well hes like marmite isn't he ----- you love him or hate him but like his team he just gets the job done.
