Thread: Josh Kayode

    Josh Kayode

Rumours on the Carlise forum that we're bringing Kayode back in January.

If true, I wonder whether it's with a view to throwing him into the mix with us (doesnt count towards the max squad number which is a bonus), or to renegotiate loan terms either with carlisle or another club.

Personally, I'd keep him. Hes got something this lad (as someone once said).

I’m already hoping he comes back to play. Even if from bench but other players have been regulars at a younger age.

Doing well so I’d leaving where he is, no point coming here to sit on bench to which he will do unless we are selling him on/ letting him go

I would agree if that was the case, if he comes back at all he must play, not just be an unused sub which benefits nobody

More than likely come back to be assessed in training then sent back out. Some good reports / reviews coming back from Carlisle. It may also come down to what Joshua Kayode and his agent wants to do for the rest of the season.

Kayode is under contract with the Millers, so what has it got to do with the agent, if the Millers say Kayode is returning to the NYS, he returns, what next will the agent be selecting the team.

I don't believe he will do worse than hirst. In any case be he will be a lot cheaper as well. Gerrim back. I would also get Tilt back IF fit. The o-5 game with Rochdale dunt inspire me tho.

Another reason to being him back is the new substitutions rule. Surely hed get cameo roles with us and, hopefully, show he can make us better. We're forever chasing games late on.
It's perfect for him. And theres no crowd to bemoan the fact that he hasn't scored a hatrick in his first 5 mins of being on the pitch.

From the bits and bobs I've seen of him I actually think hes better than Vassell and hirst as it is. And, as stated previously, hes been playing really well at carlisle so has probably improved since I saw him. I'm not saying he'd be a regular starter for us but I reckon he could be an interesting impact sub.

Lastly, I'm old school: I personally dont care what Kayode, his agent or Carlisle FC think/want. Its Rotherham Utd first, last and always. Hes contracted to RUFC.

Ps, from his 'Tiser interview I would say Kayode is desperate to player for the Millers. Bring him home Warney. It really is a free hit.

He could be brought back so they could have a look at him in training and then play him in some games throughout January.
If he copes ok then he stays with us and helps us out but if he looks out of his depth or ineffective then he could be sent back to Carlisle to assist his development again at the end of Jan
