Was Davies a panic buy for Klopp ?

I know we were supposed to be mentioned with this player, but is this a “stop gap buy” or a possible permanent fixture in the future Liverpool defence. ? It wouldn’t have taken such a big effort by Klopp to sign Tarkowski, if that’s what he really wanted. Money would not have been a problem. Instead , he chose to sign a player he never even heard of, 25 years old, 150 games under his belt, in a team going nowhere. Not exactly exciting reading is it. ? However £2.5 million is not a gamble at all for a club like Liverpool, for a player that is bound to improve daily, on the training ground. I wish him all the best in the future, and really hope he makes the grade in a red shirt. I just wish the shirt would have been claret and blue instead.

These are the terms of the deal:
    £500,000 paid up front.
£1.6 million spread over a results based paradigm.
Extra money for PNE if Davies gets capped for England.
    20% sell-on.

How the f**K can we not come up with a deal like that?

It’s rubbish BT , I honestly believe it’s Dyche - there is no way that we couldn’t find that money

I'm sure the money are there, army. Davies got tempted by the one thing Dyche couldn't offer: minutes on the pitch. The lad wouldn't even get to the bench since Dunne and Long are ahead of him in the pecking order. I wish him all the best, but as soon as Matip, Dijk, Gomes or whoever else is injured over there, returns from the doctors, Davies is going to be sold or loaned out.
