    Richard Mark Wood

Ain't it funny how Wood our talismanic Captain gets slated by some on here and often, yet when he's not in the side we have no leadership and often bottle it and lose.....Mmmmmmm

Didn't see anyone taking charge yesterday and as for the back line up.....well.

I cannot see anyone who currently plays for us, being strong or capable enough of taking Woody's place when he retires.
Ihiekwe has been mentioned but he's not of the same metal.

During the Millwall game Woody had words with Angus Mac and Giles when they were arguing with each other.

Made me wonder if that had owt to do with Giles not starting yesterday.

Yes pal I saw that as Giles failed to clear his ball correctly and they had a bit of a ding dong about it. The commentator actually said Wood was speaking to them, could you have seen Ike getting involved like that?

Reason wood was missed yesterday was because it was a league one style game. The Wycombe big lad won everything.

Woody needs to play every game that’s left if we are to a slither of hope of staying up, that’s how important he is to the side.

He can get a bit exposed with his slowness at times which to be fair is natural at his age but we are a lot better team with him than without him. We wunt have conceded 3 goals for a start on Mon and he may very well have popped one of those chances we had in as well.

Keep him fit till the end of the season, keep him in the side and we could have a chance.

And no more suspensions for him as well. Just glad it was only one game.

Could be down the player types that warne signs that we have no leaders or warriors in this team.

I hope we keep him on next season. He is what you might refer to as inspirational.
