If Forshaw were a racehorse ........

he would have been put down by now.

One comeback game in the U23s and he's out injured again.

Rodrigo still injured but not sure that matters too much although fingers crossed that Raphinha is fit soon.

Separate subject, I thought Poveda played well vs Liverpool and must surely be worth a punt; infinitely better prospect than the lightweight waste of space that is Costa.

Genes are a cruel thing at times.

suspect that forshaw was not blessed with the genetics to last over long periods of time in physical activiities. Not intended as a slam. Just a statement of fact. He'll likely be one of those that ages poorly. May want to retire and try to save his body.

it does make the decision a lot easier for us on contract extension.

Agreed on all points, and in particular that regarding Poveda. Not just the Liverpool game either. He has had very little game time but as a percentage of that which he has had I'd say he's been good to excellent 90% of the time. Needs to start and see if he can do that for a whole game, repeatedly.

I feel Costa is a good player but not quite good enough for the Premier league, especially against the better teams. I have the same sentiments about Roberts. Poveda appears to be good against teams which want to attack. He is not very effective against teams that Park the bus. Thats why he has been effective against Sh1tty at elland rd and Liverpool. So, he should be considered against Manure who will definitely attack. But, i don't think he should start if Raphinha is fit.

Failed racehorse in the UK equals Chum, In France it equals 'Plat du Jour' at six restaurants.

I’m pretty sure you’ll get a reply about that one.

I had it in France by accident, being a tight Yorkshire man I ordered the Plat du Jour in a bar and enjoyed it. i thought it was a cheap steak, I then overheard someone discussing what the plate was and neigh it was Dobbin.

Don't get what the big deal is with horsemeat. It's lean, more often than not tender, and tastes very much like beef, so "familiar" and easy to use as a beef alternative. Think we get way too hung up on things like the fact we ride them, or sweet New Forest ponies etc, hornswaggle.

Think it's more popular in Belgium than France.

Most French gyms particularly the ones on the beach here all have posters of Serge Nubret the French professional bodybuilder, actor and author of books about nutrition. He is well known for his unusual training regimen and his unusual diet which consisted of four pounds of horse meat per day. He's the black dude training companion with Arnold Schwarzenegger in the film Pumping Iron.

Many nutritional shops here sell horse meat steaks online - never had it but my Dad won't touch it only plates of fish and chicken for him on his gym days.

I've eaten lots of Kangaroo and Ostrich meat which is nice when cooked well.
