    O/T Scam Alerts

Is it just me or are others on here getting more scam emails/messages on your phone lately? Last week one from Royal Mail saying a parcel is ready for me to pick up but have to pay a £2.50 surcharge to get it. Today another text message saying HSBC alert; request for NEW payee has been made on your account if this was not done by you then visit - which is followed by a dodgy looking link.

It only takes one to fall for this and their savings get wiped out.

Here's another email I get nearly every other day

    Dear PHIL......
Your Apple ID ([email protected] ) was used to sign in to iCloud on a MacBook Pro 13".
Date and Time: 30 April 2021, 8:06 pm PDT
If the information above looks familiar, you can disregard this email.
If you have not recently signed in to a MacBook Pro 13" with your Apple ID and believe someone may have accessed your account, go to Apple ID ( https://appleid.apple.com ) and change your password as soon as possible.
    Sincerely,
    Apple Support

The apple ID they quote is not even my apple ID account as I use gmail. Flippin fed up of seeing this every other day

It's probably got less to do with his age than the tracking of his IP address across all those dodgy po rn sites 😊 .

I get these messages from time to time, just ignore them. Unfortunately, there will be some that fall for it, despicable.
