    2-0 loss to Millwall

We were (well) beaten 2-0 by Millwall to conclude pre-season.

A double trialist combination at centre back is a bit of an alibi but otherwise that was a relatively strong team we started with.

Some nerves to ease on Wednesday, I think.

From the MFC report the personnel involved were

Motherwell: Kelly, S O’Donnell (Johnston 46), Trialist (Lamie 60), Trialist, Carroll, Donnelly (Trialist 46), Maguire, Cornelius (Crawford 69), Woolery (Amaluzor 69), Watt, Van Veen (Lawless 60).

Subs not used: Fox, Morrison, McLeod, C O’Donnell, Trialist, Trialist, Wilson.

Not sure if that gives us much of a clue about Wednesday's starting eleven.

No, not least because we've no idea if McGinley, O'Hara, Mugabi and Shields will be available or injured, if the Irish CB will be confirmed etc.

It does look like 4-3-3 though which is probably a fair enough starting point.

Assuming the Irish lad signs, we still need a grade A central defender and at least one - preferably two - for the middle of the park.

Queen's Park won 1-0 at QotS and Annan won on penalties at Airdrie after a 1-1 draw.
