EFL Hit Sheffield Wednesday & Derby County with Suspended Points Penalties.

EFL have hit Sheffield Wednesday & Derby County with Suspended Points Penalties.

Sheffield Wednesday have agreed to a suspended six point deduction, that will be
activated if they fail to pay their players in full or on time before June 30th 2022.

Derby County face possibility of further English Football League sanctions, going
into the new season, a three point deduction will kick in for the Rams, if they pay
    their playing staff late again.

Statement from EFL - In the months March 2021, April 2021, May 2021, June 2021
Sheffield Wednesday failed to pay their players as per terms, of the agreements
between club & players, & were charged with misconduct under EFL regulations.

    Tap on the wrist again.

Derby County Laughing at the EFL.

One Derby County fan posted that the EFL are out to get Derby County, another laughing at
    the EFL sanction.
One says time for the championship to break away from the EFL, & become Premier 2.

Big clubs again beating the system.

That's on a par with telling a bank robber to return the loot and we'll forget all about it.This is a scandel and entirely corrupt behaviour from the EFL. This needs to be examined in detail by outside parties.

It would be nice to see how the EFL came to their conclusions with regards Derby, SW and Macclesfield and if the 3 were treated equally.

What a bloody joke. Total corruption in a sewage-farm nation.

There was no way Derby would ever be issued with a points deduction, they have a free pass with friends on the top table.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if Chansiri is trying to offload SWFC and if they were still in the Championship he would probably have already sold them. Taking the relegation will have reduced the asking price considerably.

At least the threat of a points deduction may make all clubs pay their players on time and put the onus on club Chairmen. ( or at least it should do ).

I reckon them and Derby have been cut some slack due to the Covid situation although SWFC pay related problems date back to 2019.

EFL need to rip the rule book up and start again.
