    Congratulations.

On being back in the football league. We have all missed you, and im sure this is the start of a magnificent County resurgence, culminating quite soon in a challenge at the top of the Championship.

I will look forward to visiting Meadow Lane a re sampling the local totty. What?, my mate has just tapped me on the shoulder and said that i have got things wrong, and that County are still non league.

Watta mistaka to maka. Sorry, i suppose this note wont go down well. I dont bother anymore with unimportant nonsense like the conference or whatever its called now, but you still do looking at this board. Cambridge are in div1 now, i bet that hurts as well.

Im not known for being empathic, oh well, no ones perfect, i might come up for the Kings Lynn game. Hope you do ok on that one.

Div1? I thought you were in Division Three. That's League One 'or whatever its called now'.

It's bad enough having imaginary friends, but when they start talking to you that's a really bad sign.

I didn't think it possible but this is an even worse 'wind up' attempt than that Coventry fan paying us a visit.

Psaw, with Cambridge being such a beautiful place full of history. Have you got the time to tell us all about CUFC between 2005-14?

    Heard it's good stuff

To be honest, it bothers me a lot that clubs like Morecambe, Fleetwood, Accrington and Burton are two leagues above us. Cambridge however were always a pretty decent club when I first got into the game, good enough to be among the Panini sticker collections, Alan Biley, 2nd or 3rd match highlights on Sunday afternoon from Anglia TV with Gerry Harrison at the Abbey Stadium. Also watched us play your lot in the 2nd tier in person, Devon White was in your team. We won 1-0 but you had knocked us out of the League Cup a few months prior. God, the League Cup, I'd almost forgotten that competition.

For those who go back beyond 1970, they might have a very different take on Cambridge's size and stature, but you're pretty much where I'd expect you to be.
Notts are a joke right now. We might be here for a very long time indeed. That we don't even get any Fword or Stags fans that can be bothered to log in on here and take the pee anymore probably demonstrates more than anything else just how insignificant we have become.

    Good luck.

Nice one Laddo, that does hurt. Your so nice upthemagpies, thank you. The old days were better. It always seems like it, but it WAS. Football was fairer and not dominated by money. Little clubs stood a chance.

    Not now.

    You're welcome.

It may have hurt but it ended with triumph, glory and promotion. Just shows it can happen, us Notts fans cling on to the example Cambridge and others have shown in the past.
