    Two keepers and a striker

All given pro-contracts from our youth set up.

Beech will now have the option of completely ignoring even more of our promising young players.

I'd have given Fishburn a first team start last season, given he was the top goalscorer nationally for his age group.

As the old saying goes, if you’re good enough you’re old enough. There are teenagers playing for national sides but ours can’t even get even a ghost of a chance in Tier 4. Of course none of ours may be good enough, in which case WHY ARE WE GIVING THEM CONTRACTS?

Presumably in the hope that one of them either becomes the next Branthwaite or at least looks sufficiently promising to lure a mug club in (Barrow maybe) with some big money.

But no one will sign them if they don’t see them play, and Beech won’t play them.

For a manager under pressure it can be a fine line between wanting to win matches and giving youngsters a chance.

I reckon he will play them this season.... IF he thinks there is a chance of them being good enough.

Beech had every chance last season of playing he kids after he had flogged promotion but he was in fear of losing his job so league position meant all to him, don't get me started on him not giving young Cedwyn a chance.

If Cedwyn Scott was an actor then he played so few minutes for Carlisle United that his role would have been an uncredited one.

Beech definitely guilty of not giving some players a chance, how he can judge players without giving them some game time is beyond me. Especially as he had a reputation at Rochdale of bringing through young players.

He was Keith Hill's bitch at Rochdale, the person responsible for bringing the young players through was Hill not Beech. Beech did not pick the team.
