    Jermaine Jenas

I quite like this lad's commentary, he comes across has being very knowledgeable without the need for constant daft babble.

I also used to like JJ, but just lately he's reverted to obvious comments like the rest of them, also with nonsense filler comments just to shatter the silence.

Ally McCoist is one I can suffer as a co commentator, but then again even he comes out with idiotic quotes.

It used to be one guy commentating on the game, then we had 2 with a co commentator, coming into these TV games now are sometimes 3 of them, Brian Clough was right all them years ago.

    About 3minutes in.. . . . . . .

Brilliant, and all those years ago saw it coming as for today’s commentary most games I can watch without sound on , ( ***ist I know ) but can’t stand women presenting other than Gabby Yorath.
Mark pougash does my head in

Dave on sky is embarrassing making him make leading questions to pundits

They should just have ex pros on and that’s it as mr Clough says then we don’t have to listen to the bleeding obvious , I mean im pretty sure I can sort out what’s happening in a game.

Example - Burnley had only 33% possession - I know I’m watching the game.

We have to have loads of commentators, pundits et al because the game has changed so much over the years.
I remember when we used to have three officials in charge of all league, cup, European and World Cup games but in these Euro Championships we have 11 officials involved in every game, therefore, you need more people pontificating about what these 11 officials may or may not be thinking.

The lad's OK, he's just now carving himself a career in broadcasting generally and so has lost his "naturalness", presumably due to some TV coaching.
