Seeing as the best we can hope for is survival at this level, he can probably do a job for us, but it's not the sort of signing envisaged when we were told that the club was being sold to 'serious investors'.
I'm past caring, Marc Albrighton........meh.![]()
Like you say BT he’s at the twilight of career , but feel he’s a step up from JBG for a couple of seasons ,
I don’t understand why we’re not looking at younger options , the lad from QPR was on the radar previously for a wide position and yet that seems to have gone cold.
We really are poor at recruiting, there are literally thousands of opportunities for footballers and for us to recruit them ( before we say they don’t want to come to little old Burnley ), they’ll be queuing up for an opportunity.
Why do we like players with "old legs". Its a young mans game and we love old players. Amazing, we can't find a young guy for what we are likely to pay Albrighton?? I can't believe that.
I do despair if this is the best we can afford, rather like Lennon & Walters money wasted. I can't see this as being progress I would put Albrighton in the same class as Brady.
We should be looking to sign promising young player in that position who will possibly have some pace in their legs but then Dyche does like so called experienced players.
He's only 31.
.
doubt he was going to be much of a starter at Lester...but, he's good at one of our key needs - crossing the ball, is experienced, a hard worker - and from what they say, a top bloke.....so for the right money, he'd make a decent backup.

Norder, who though is he backing up? We are threadbare on the flanks as it is and I hate to see Brownhill playing in that position anyway, as he's wasted in my view. Find a quality young guy for goodness sake.
