We have been blessed with great olympians in the past but id struggle to name a single one who is competing for GB in Tokyo. Will anybody be watching?
No.
Not intentionally
Me neither, although i will be interested in NZs Laurel Hubbard weightflifter (had to look it up) and hope he/it/she/these/those/ wins by hundreds of tons so the elite can then realise trans BS is wrong in womens sport.
I do like Dina Asher-Smith, real down to earth talent, hope she can come back with a sprint medal!
I am all for diversity Phil, but having someone who grew up as a bloke and had all that testosterone in their system while growing doesn’t make it fair for them to ever complete against women, no issues with someone who grew up as a woman competing against men as their is no advantage but clearly the other way round is pc nonsense gone mad!
We had no qualms about allowing Fatima Whitbread to compete!

I think it should be cancelled, or at least postponed again. Few people in Japan have been vaccinated and their population is overwhelming against the games going ahead; if your own people don’t want it, then it’s going to feel like a damp squib. It will, though, be the ideal platform for the PC and diversity brigade to peddle their agendas without the fear of booing from the spectators. I can’t get up any enthusiasm for these games, at least not up to the moment.
All that running and jumping isn't for me.
You can get the fastest runner on earth who pushes themselves to the limit to become the best, and a Lion that sleeps 20 hours out of 24 will catch him in seconds, and then clear an eight foot fence with him in it's mouth.
Humans are quite puny pathetic things really.
In the world of animals we aren't that hard, an Ostrich would kick f uck out of you.
Humans were born to walk and use their brains, alas not many do.
