Season’s not started yet and he’s already pushing out the negative vibes.

Has normal Rotherham behind the door in transfers, other teams such as Burton, Wigan,
Ipswich etc got players in early.
First of all he said he needed 7-8 players, then 3-4 players, so what will we end up with.
Do we still have Scott identifying players we should buy, if so a list should have been made
    up of players.
If Smith goes which I think he will, either to Middlesbrough or Bristol city, we will be running
round like headless chickens, to get players in.

Well I’d tell Warnock to get lost. He’s no friend of ours. Thinks we are an easy touch and wants to get our players on the cheap. Selling Michael at this stage would be a disaster. He is pivotal to the way we play.

Any respect I had for Warnock went with the fiasco that was the home game against them. Crooks sending off was a disgrace that cost us 3 points. Now he comes back and wants to raid our best players.

Ipswich got rid of 14 players, new owners prepared to spend some cash, a new Manager in Paul Cook, Wigan almost got relegated to League 2 and have also cleared players out, so have Burton. They had not option, they had to get players in early.
We do have a list of players, unfortunately other clubs are usually chasing the same players and we usually end up losing out.
Believe it or not some football club scouts actually work for more than one club and then there's the players agent playing one club against the other to get the best deal for their client.

If the EFL are insisting it's a 21 player squad plus under 20's then it's going to be difficult for us.
We can't afford to drop too many b@llacks when signing players.
Looking at our squad it looks decent enough, not saying recruitment is perfect yet the spine of the team is still there with players that have Championship experience and players that have been promoted from League 1.

Losing Smith could be a setback although I reckon he will still be here.

EDIT : losing Tilt and Angus MacDonald for a while hasn't helped the situation either.

It would be a confidence booster if Smith stayed.
Losing Crooks doesn’t help but we have a surplus of midfielders to pick from so no great worry in that dept.

The position behind where Smith plays needs filling now crooks has left but that will only apply if Warne uses a 4-5-1 formation. Now Ogbene is back and Miller looks sharp on the left along with Ferguson, I feel he’ll go 3-5-2.

Either way, turning £200k into £1.1 million ain’t bad business but I feel we still sell weak. Had that been a posh player they’ve had asked for maybe 2 million and got it!

Posh public ask for 2 million bit 9 out of 10 X it's undisclosed. 1.1 million with add-ons is a great price especially with current climate and uncertainties going forward

How long are Tilt and Angus out for? Does anyone have any rough idea?

We have a strong spine and 'just' need filling out with a few players. I'd rather wait if it means we get someone useful, we can't afford another Hirst this season. Lads at the top end need help.

A pocket number 10 would be nice, replace Crooks and link the play up.

What do we even need now in terms of positions? Right Back, Centre Mid, Winger (can play either side ideally) and a Striker? We won't be far off.
