Superb performance but the Gunners were dog****e!
The Bees will be OK!
Well done Brentford - who says the club that gets promotion via the play offs always struggles? A good win over Arsenal tonight, and a high pressing entertaining brand of football, they will make a good fist of the prem this year.

Brentford are a great role model for smaller less fashionable clubs...but history is littered with such clubs...Carlisle, Oldham Athletic, Barnsley, Bradford City, Swansea and Notts County amongst them...who have all got off to flyers at the top level only for it to be all too short lived.
Good luck to them...they deserve it and one thing is for sure...if Thomas Frank continues to make a good fist of things it won’t be long before a bigger club comes knocking.
Equally...it’s only mid August and one game in but I bet there’ll be doom mongers at Highbury already calling for Arteta’s head.

Realistically any club of Brentford's stature will struggle to establish themselves in the premier league but at least they will give it a good go and may well survive this season.
Just wish The Rams could ahve at least gone down with dignity!
I won't be surprised to see them make a fist of staying long term. They began a long term project some years ago and are developing the club along the lines of a sensible, non over-reaching five year, ten year and beyond plan backed up by solid financial support within that plan.
It's a project that requires patience, persistence and community involvement and is a model we would be well advised to follow even if sheer survival is the first painful step! Over to you DCFC!
Excellent and well deserved win. Not one, however, that has me going overboard. We have to remember how many of their, on paper 1st choice XI, are not yet up to speed following a late start to their pre season following one or more of the Euros, Copa Americas, Olympic tournaments.
Every season one of the promoted sides start well, either with a win or a great performance scoring a few but conceding as many or more.
Last night's result is as non-indicative of where the Bees will be come May as it is of a relegation scrap for Arsenal.
Its rare though for a promoted team to play as well as Brentford have done and whilst it will be tough for them in the prem, they will reap the rewards financially and if they go down be fit to have another go.
Now if only Mel had been as astute instead of trying to buy promotion by throwing millions at players other clubs were only to willing to get rid of!!
