    Presser: Ian on Barnet

Hear what Ian Burchnall had to say when he addressed the media ahead of Saturday's opening-day trip to the Hive.

I know it is one thing talking the talk, and another walking the walk. Gary Mills talked a good game, but IB really impresses me in his interviews, and never shirks a question.
I was impressed with how much he knew about Barnet's pre season, but that he still put the emphasis on how we perform as being the most important thing. He oozes positivity and clear thinking.
It was also good to hear him mention our goal scoring towards the end of last season, 2.7 goals a game is not too shabby, and certainly helps if we do not tighten the defence staight away.

I'm a bit concerned we've signed younger players, could have done with another experienced player to even it up a bit.

That's why they kept Jim Bob.. I also think Doyle could do a good job coming of the bench.

I’m sure it’s just me, but I always get the impression that he thinks the questions he’s asked are mind numbingly stupid.

They are generally the expected puerile questions to all managers before a season starts so can not blame him for that.

‘Do you think referees should give your star player more protection’?
