    Tottenham Hotspur Stadium today.

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium - capacity 62,062 & changing times for football grounds & fans.
[Well it's the international break so why not]

Last week I picked up an old French book 'bout Evolution of Football grounds & it had a pic of a wet White Hart Lane before a 1954 Cup match against Leeds & another pic in same year of Everton Goodison Park getting its under-soil heating put in.Comparing those English grounds with the then exotic French stadia in pics of book showed the differing styles back then in how fans watched the game.

Spurs or as my Dad calls them 'Tottenham Hotspur' renamed the old White Hart Lane stadia the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium - now printed boldly on all tickets.

Obviously like many he's never been to the 'new' stadium which includes the world’s first dividing, retractable pitch, with a synthetic pitch underneath for use during NFL games, concerts and other events. The single-tier in the South Stand was influenced by Borussia Dortmund’s ‘Yellow Wall’ and with a capacity of 17,500 and is the largest in the UK. Among the modern facilities are 60 food and drink outlets, 1,800 video screens, and the world’s first microbrewery based in a stadium - but visits still don't come with a health warning about the dreaded Seven Sisters/London tube exit walk to the ground.

As well as our allocated 3,000 seats in NE corner we also get 26 spaces allocated for our wheelchair users,150 seats for our fans with disability. To their credit Spurs have created more than 250 wheelchair accessible bays and has more than 500 accessible seats for disabled fans which are located on all levels at the stadium, fully accessible by lifts to give supporters a greater variety of viewing options which is terrific compared to the rubbish available at many grounds.

They also provide seating arrangements for our Blind fans travelling with their Guide dogs which I know Super Fan Nikki Allan and her doggie Annie are looking forward to - they both never miss a match and both sing/bark along with our travelling choral encore.

Sadly the match was moved for Sky - many Leeds fans [including myself cannot attend due to work].Others are desperately reorganising for a Sunday 21st November 2021 4.30pm KO,some sadly are selling to Agency buyers.

So plenty of positives awaiting for us at Spurs & hopefully an away win as well.
