    Woodrow & Brittain

2 of the more vocal ones about the previous manager, yet to me these outbursts appear more of a finger pointing exercise, when I think a good long look in the mirror is overdue

Probably grossing in excess of £1m in wages combined , yet for me are spineless and devoid of any fight. Drop them both immediately

JW is dire , but he tries but simply isn’t good enough. JM isn’t ready to be regular at this level

With these 4 inlies the problem

It's easy for any of us to pick out individuals , and I agree Renno with the one's you have mentioned , I would go further and say all the player's with the exception of Collins , some have vendettas against certain players and just don't like them , the facts are these players have not suddenly become rubbish , most helped the club to its best position for year's last season , there is more to this than the player's , the off field antics by all parties are a pathetic illustration of what BFC have become ,

Agree with that Roma , more to this debacle than HC's and players not performing to a level they are capable of .

I do agree with the stuff in the background but it didn’t stop them last year. Derby have performed far better with far worse a scenario as did Wigan the other season. It’s very easy and sometimes convenient for players to use this one as another way to deflect away from themselves

They are professional athletes who to my knowledge have never not being paid nor had any inclination that this would likely be the case. I could understand a demotivation on the pitch for off field antics had they been fighting to get paid - had this been the case the fans would get behind the players more I would imagine

As for brittain - is he just a one season wonder who plays well when the team plays well? He wouldn’t be the first of that ilk. Is Woodrow getting found out for being a luxury player because he hasn’t got 2 players by his side picking up his slack?

The more I think about it the more I'm convinced that last season was just a freak event .

Maybe the true ability of these players are what we are getting dished up this season .

Val found a way with these players to win games of football in empty stadiums and using five subs by playing in a very unique way .

You'll probably never see a season like the last one ever again , hopefully .

Perhaps the fact the emperor has no clothes is starting to emerge .

I've got a feeling that some of the player's no longer want to be here now, prepare for a mass exodus in January , I'm sure that will be well received by the greedy owner's , one last big pay day for them ?, then they hopefully sod off .

Vals high press with 5 SUBS were the difference last year......
Also Mowat was always gonna be a massive loss. Was our best . Arguably west broms best... and i bet he dont leave there for less than 10 million.... should have tied him down to a bigger contract early.
Just the daft lads 2p worth.

To be fair I think that Brittain has been excellent the last two games , previous to that he has struggled to find anything like last years form but he is not on his own there , however I believe like others are suggesting that there are deep routed problems at the club that are impacting performances on the pitch.

Ahh a comment that is actually still about the original thread subject, thats unusual lol.
I briefly chatted about this during the week with Jules, how impressed I was with Brittain last season. He eventually fell away a bit form wise for various reasons maybe, but sadly that has mostly carried on throughout this season as well.

And as for Woodrow, well sadly it looks like we've all got to admit it now that he seriously doesn't deserve his regular starting place. And Ive always thought as well actually, that he doesn't deserve the captains band as hes not up to it.

Interestingly our last 3 home matches have been against side's who have brought good support , roughly between 7/8 k between them ? , I would estimate around 1m in gate receipts ? So by that alone the owners will feel fully justified in closing the West Stand and utilising stewards in the North Stand , any way they can make money they will , to those that hang on to every word they say ? Think again , We mean nothing to them , and they are happy for now with that scenario ,
