Ye but ye but ….. whatever someone is prepared to pay - isn’t the same as GUESSING what they are worth now.
Point being - decisions made in the board room has reduced the value of their investments.
And no - I’m not a business man.
Been there done that.
If anyone now asks me what I do - I say I’m an ex-miner.

Well there isn't one player in our squad who is capable of playing in a higher league .
There isn't one player capable of playing for another club in the championship who are currently receiving parachute payments .
That leaves the only available selling market to be clubs either heavily in debt or suffering due to the financial implications of Covid .
The club would be lucky to get over a million for anybody currently .
His stats are better than anyone. ………….. maybe he should be playing more? Shot accuracy is WELL ABOVE any of our other “POPULAR “strikers….

That’s the point.
By interfering in how the club plays - and not providing the experienced leaders when the manager (Schopp) at the time asks for it - the directors have taken the club backwards and that has cost them £££ millions in potential sales.
We can argue how much each player would be worth.
But the bottom line is the club hasn’t the bargaining power that they had this time last year - they can’t say that individual player are part of a top 6 team - consequently the players are worth a lot less than they were this time last season.
Surely to goodness the owners have learnt some hard lessons from all this.
