As my health degenerates, I have put my home for sale as it is just too much to look after anymore. I'm hoping for a move to a warmer climate and smaller place to look after may re-energize my will to fight. Most of my friends here have passed away some a lot younger than me some older so nothing left for me here.

I spend A lot of money when mum and dad we alive to make it as comfortable and pleasant and I think I did that at the finish and I'm sure they will tell me one day how I went.
Mum never showed her affection to me but her best friend pulled me aside when she was on death's door and said Peter you know your mum confided in me that she and your father would not know or where they would have ended up if it wasn't for me and god looked after them for giving them a son like me.
You'll see photos of them and me I guess somewhere in these pics.
Guess what I'm trying to say is look after yourselves and more so your loved ones. We all have one go at it so don't throw it away no matter how it may seem.

Greece would be a fine place to sit in the sun Oz - pretty good food too.
Try to take any positives out of life that you can. Sounds like you did right by your folks which means you can always look at your reflection in the mirror and be happy with what you see.
I think that one of the cruelest parts of old age is losing friends with whom you shared moments and so have history to look back on.
I know where you live oz. Be afraid![]()
Oz - Billy has a big house with a spare room / Ireland in the summer is a delight to be sure
Chin up Oz. ALAW!
This place wouldn't be the same without you.
P.S. Don't move here if you want to be warm at this time of year...
From one who knows, and not by any means the only one.....
Felt much lije you when Mo passed, but in reflection the place I live in now is the place we shared and many good times, as a couple and as hosts to friends and family. Nowhere else will offer that same sense of shared memories, nor of the comfort that familiar places and surroundings offer when the world seems an emptier and more lonely place. You have a lovely home, a neighbourhood you are familiar with and I suspect neighbours who you know and who are at least "friendly", if not friends. For what's worth, if you can afford it, get someone in to help keep such a large place tidy and enjoy all that you have (And maybe do so with others you hold dear, be they family or friends).
