“The weather forecast is good and as long as Covid keeps out of the way the game should go ahead”. I was concerned enough to include a Covid clause in the Match Preview. We will no longer have to worry if our Cornet was going to be ready for their Hornets.

    .

forfeit the match - 3 points to us ?

Statement says we have been unable to name a squad with enough first team players - can't believe that the club have only just been alerted to this possibility. Think the club must have a goodwill duty to reimburse fans if they can show proof of travel.

Astonishing that an outbreak can happen 2 hours before the game and no one knew about it beforehand. Bizarre and inept.

Then the club surely would have made that clear in their statement? That they had tested the squad earlier today, had informed the PL at **enter time** of the positive results and had only just been granted the postponement.

Personally, I don't think its beyond the club to have released a statement earlier today saying we had a number of positive results and were awaiting a response from the PL. Then fans could have at least gone with half an idea it might be off.

Piss poor from the club two hours before kick off.

    I agee !

They did know before Miked , they were waiting on key injuries and decided to leave it so no alternative from the league than to react as a they have ,
They should be fined and give up the points

Todays DM reads ''There were queries last night as to whether Watford could have transported several youngsters to Turf Moor in a bid to fill their bench, ( but what about this?....) ''given some senior professionals were already showing symptoms prior to the test results.''

In this 'Coved' period there has to be rules, by the FA, to having players tested before travelling for the game!

Otherwise its a farce, 3-4? players have injuries - leaving a very much a weakened team, what to do, the team is under strength ?
Answer; call it off ,but how ? Corona !

All teams have to be tested BEFORE travelling. F A rules!

That would leave Watford having to replace those players with 'reserves ,and some youngsters. Before arriving in Burnley ,game ON!
