    Wrexham is in the balance...

    In! bloody autocorrect! [Now fixed]

Seems we have enough cases to call it off. We shall wait and see.

    I hope IB is bluffing.

We should call this game off now if we can.

The stakes are too high for us to gamble we did that last year against Maidenhead and lost at home.

Dont make the same mistake Notts.

Ian Burchnall has revealed that there are several Covid-19 cases in the camp ahead of Sunday’s visit of Wrexham.

The head coach will be missing a number of players when we host our promotion rivals but says the club is doing all it can to ensure the fixture goes ahead.

“Sadly, we do have some cases within the squad and staff,” said the boss this afternoon. “We’re very thin on the ground right now, which is really disappointing, but we’re doing everything we possibly can to ensure the game’s on."

When asked whether the club were actively choosing not to request a postponement, Burchnall said: “Based on what we’ve got now we could probably request for the game to be called off, but I feel quite strongly that if we have sufficient players available we should try to play.

“In my opinion, clubs have a duty to do everything they can to protect the integrity of the league. I don’t know if that’s always going to be the case across the board and we have to accept that sometimes a postponement is unavoidable, but as long as teams are really working hard to get the games on that’s the most important thing.

“We’re being extremely careful to prevent any further cases in the small group we’ve got to ensure we have as many available for the weekend as possible.

“We’re testing every day and, of course, if we have more cases before the weekend we’re going to be in big trouble.

“But we’ve got a strong squad and I believe our strength in depth can shine through this weekend and throughout the rest of the season. I really want to play the game – we’ll see what the rest of the week brings.”

We need to play this and other games with our strongest squad, can't take chances and drop further down the league. Do the right thing Notts and call it off, even tho I've paid for the hospitality package.

So we (allegedly) wouldn't consider re-arranging the King's Lynn game for Tuesday, but we're now considering playing Wrexham with half a team to protect 'the integrity of the league'? That doesn't make sense. Either play both or play neither.

This is one of the most crucial games of the season and to voluntarily play it without a full team would be an incomprehensible decision. I can only imagine it would be financially motivated, but even that would be very shortsighted.

Call it off. Why try and muddle on through when every other team wouldn’t do the same. We’d be mad to play.

IB seems to say he is doing the right thing!

    I can't see us playing.
