    70m euros for Botman

This is the asking price they want.. personally I think we should pay it.. make a statement and sign a 21 year old who is tipped for big things.. only downside is he wil want a relgation release clause and we wouldn't recoup that price if we were relegated..

There are better prem defenders out there for much less, however this lad has the potential to be world class and would make a real statement if we signed him..

AC Milan also interested.. however they have no where near the finances to push past 25m

    I would say; PAY!

One of the most talented CBs in the world. World class CB for 15 years... No brainer really.

    Hello, Maguire cost £80mil...

My point exactly, maguire is terrible.. you want the best then we have to pay for it..

I cant see it happening, not at that price but would be good to see us go in with a 50m offer and test the water.. hopefully Staveley is on this board

Thing is, if we pay that price, it'll give the green light to every other club we're trying to deal with to up their prices massively and that isn't something our owners will do, imo.

They won't want to be seen as a push-over and I think they'd want more than great potential if they were paying that much. If that's his price, I'd be very surprised if we agreed to pay.

Summer is a different story altogether if we stay up but, for the moment, i think they'll want experience over potential.

I would just hate to see us lose him if he's interested.. definitely should go in with a higher offer than 30m

Isn't Tarkowski free from the summer? As is Andreas Christensen.

My point is we don't need to be held to ransom. A couple of these keeps us up for a reasonable price..

Yes, I agree with that...sometimes you've got to have balls and take a risk, I just think 70 mil would be too much and also send the wrong message. Plus, I haven't seen him play and have only read stuff about him so my opinion might not be worth that much.
