Gillingham are in real danger of continuing their slide down the leagues and maybe into non league football.
Oxford utd won 7-2 today against Gillingham. Of those seven goals, four were scored from the penalty spot and, all scored by the same player. According to statistics, this has never been achieved before in any League match.
That's an amazing record not only to break, but to hold, well done to Cameron Brannagan.

It's looking that way. Apparently Scally is wanted out by the gills fans but he won't sell up. Strange set up that.
Just doing a post on penalty record being broken Brin, will add this -
Cameron Brannagan scored 4 penalties in Oxford United's 7 - 2 away win at Gillingham,
which is the first recorded occasion of this happening.
The previous record was 3 penalty's scored by a player in a game, was Josh Wright in
a EFL game in March 2017, while playing for Gillingham.
25 year old Brannagan previously played for Liverpool, after his 4 goals today some fans
of Liverpool, jokingly asking if there is a ' buy back clause ' for the player.
Cameron Brannagan was 500/1 to score a hat-trick today, his 4 penalties were all placed
differently, bottom left, mid-left, high left, & bottom right of goal.
The penalties scored in the, 12th, 48th, 55th, 83rd minutes, a game the player won't forget.
Nice back story about him missing from 3 yards at Gillingham previously then the following week it emerging he had an eye problem and could have gone blind.
................ref was Mr Madeley who got demoted from the Premiership, we had him at NYS and he was what you'd expect, i want to be the star .............
