    Striker?

If we were to sign a new striker does anyone have any realistic suggestions? I know Radar will most likely find someone we've never heard of, but just wondering if any fellow fans fancy playing scout.

Personally I'd look at who's scoring well in the division below us. There's two strikers at Gateshead in the NL North both in their early 20s; Macaulay Langstaff and Cedwyn Scott. Ideally get both of them in for when Woots departs at the end of the season.

    Michael Cheek?

But seeing how we don't do over 25's or anyone who's name is familiar, your suggestions are most probably right.

The one we bought who was scoring well in the division below us has just gone back to the division below us.

Big debate during the summer about whether we needed better backup for Wootton than Mitchell and Sam. No idea who we get now but we did.

Agreed. But he was injured for a long time. I think him going back there to get fitness is a good thing. Doesn't mean he doesn't have a future with us.

For me, the signing we missed out on in the summer was Andrew Dallas. Not sure if we were in for him or not, but I'd be surprised if he chose Solihull over us.

Ruben's been off the pace for a while - or maybe he's been found out as a second striker? - and the lack of a second centre forward is hurting us, with Kairo Mitchell proving a disappointment thus far.

We wont be signing anyone, we've invested in Mitchell and will give him every chance to succeed.

He is a confusing signing though isn't he. Apparently we pursued him for some time and also paid a fee for him. On the showing so far when Wootton leaves at the end of the season when we don't go up has he shown enough to suggest he is an adequate replacement? If this signing is stats based then there can't even be many stats as he only had 20 or so games in the division before he joined notts. Just a weird signing for me.
