    Non league

Sod the reds. Been to frickley tonight and watched a decent game of footie. Some nice challenges, player & ref arguments you could hear and you can walk around with a pint

Out of interest if a non league club said if you’ve had in last 2 seasons a ST for reds , you can have one for their team for £50/£60 would you get one?

Only if it didnt mean having to go round Cawthorne bends on a p*ssing down snowy night…..

I hate not renewing, I don’t want to walk away from the Reds, but it isn’t happening.
Relegation I can take. This Pantomime of a performance by our owners I can’t.
£700 is a lot of money. A lot of money they won’t get from our household.
And we also made our minds up that even if they are play off contenders next season, but these owners are still here, we won’t go.

    Complete break for us.

Ha that’s my local non league side, been a number of times though currently or at least earlier this season they were struggling too.

It’s a different experience, get up close to the game and listen to the “lino” take it right down the lug hole.

Have occasionally wondered if I would get my fix of live footy at frickley but then when back at oakwell it’s not quite the same is it, bloody frustrating we have to endure this shower on and off the pitch.

Know the feeling Jules but with 10 mins of early bird to go I crumble and have done for 13 year , god almighty that long.

Already on with it Renno , a number of club's in the area worth watching , you don't have to buy a season ticket ( although that helps the club) it's not too expensive to pay on the day, I've been saying this for years that Non League football is generally good to watch , and spectators are certainly more appreciated by these Club's ,as opposed to their League counterpart's ,

I used to work for just facials and they sponsored Emily and wakefield boss wa good mates with king ronnie, had a box I could av gone for free every home game but a followed tarn regular then.met ronnie lovely bloke and one thing I remember it seems a lot tougher than championship, team won 2.0 there were some decent players but you could tell not good enough to be professional.

Recently I've gone to several local (for me) non league games and loved every minute. It's been a nice break from the toxicity and dross football around the reds at the minute.
Like you say (depending on the level) you can have a pint in view of the pitch. Love hearing the chat between ref and players, good honest challenges going in and I've been surprised how good the standard is. Done AFC Bury, FC United, Chorley & Atherton Collieries in recent times all well run clubs.
I can't answer the question re swapping season tickets as I don't have one for Oakwell as I work some weekends but it's been enjoyable and value for money watching lower league footy.

The phoenix club AFC Bury are in the North West Counties league 10th level of english football. Bury FC still exist on paper but if they return in the future which is the plan, they would have to be renamed as per the rules like Macclesfield FC now not Town.

AFC play at Radcliffe FC`s ground as the consortium for Bury have just been allowed to buy back Gigg Lane.

The issue now has to be how do they pull the phoenix club and its supporters back toward a new Bury Fc and Gigg Lane? Both parties have said they dont want 2 non league sides in Bury.

AFC Bury currently get 1500 for home games, take 1000 away.
