How many contracted and loanee full time professionals do we now have?

How many did we have at the beginning of January? How many departed in January? How many arrived in January?
I think that 8 arrived in January.

Isn’t the limit on loan players 5 on a match day in the team at any one time?

EFL clubs can have up to 8 players on loan, with a maximum of 5 in the match squad of 18.

In any one season they can only sign a maximum of four players from a specific club, with only two of those four being over the age of 23. The deadline for determining a player’s age in this respect shall be as at June 30 prior to the season in which the temporary loan transfer is intended to take place.

If we have 30 full time professionals it is quite possible that 10 of them feel that thay have little chance of getting into the match 18.
This can bring about a lot of discontent, which would be counter-productive.
