    And so it begins

A north east firm of architects have come up with a proposal for what our training ground could look like.

Granted, it's just at the concept stage but the very fact that proper businesses are coming up with this sort of stuff in the hope of getting the tender is a glimpse into how things will be. It's no longer pie in the sky-our owners' aim is to make us the best club in the world so this sort of thing will become an actual reality at some point in the not-too-distant future.

    Still can't really believe it.

The best part is FFP cannot restrict spending on this kind of stuff.

The 7k stadium and professional appearance are quite exciting...

Also the plans that came out claiming St James can be extended to 75k are quite exciting... although I fully expect the Saudis to want a brand spanking new stadium

I didn't think the East stand could be expanded? Just the Gallowgate with another tier and an extra 8000 seats?

There is an architect in Dubai, he has devised a way we can have all 4 stands the same without being affected by planning permission.

It involves removing the bottom few rows of the Milburn and leazes stands and moving the pitch over to allow the room at the other side of the ground....

If you have twitter, look at Mitch (the geordie dentist) he put the plans up on Friday....

    Worth a look

That would be great if it could be done. The location of St.James' is what makes it special

Apparently each stage would take 12 - 18 months... so it could take up to 10 yrs to finish it....

    I'd be in my 60's.....
