    Barnsley v Middlesbrough match thoughts

Whilst I've created this thread I won't be contributing .

Doesn't seem right moaning and groaning or even jumping for joy given the events of the last two days .

Fully respect everyone sees it different and no judgement from me but that's how I personally see it .

Apparently Wilder changed things around inpressively the other night, and they came back to beat West Brom.
Thats what any good manager does of course, and this will be a test for us against another play off chasing team.
Draws don't help but I think we know we're down now anyway. And Id be really surprised if we can do to them what we did to Qpr.

Physically giving it a miss again. But Just got a feeling we may nick it.
Putin is ruining and ending peoples lives, making people feel sick to the core.
But he’s done a fine job hasn’t he if he stops us posting on our football team.? I won’t give him the satisfaction.
    Feck you Putin.

    COYR. Stuff the Boro.

    ( beer free post too….Meds)

Yeah Jules, it might sound selfish (again), but it won't stop me posting about the footy team on here and on other boards!.

If we can learn from the last few wins and keep some of that momentum and confidence etc, then this one might also be winnable.
Every game though now has got that build towards next season thing about it. That means some players might not be as up for it if they know they're leaving.

I feel the same way as Animal to be honest and wasn't going to post anything on today's match. But, we can't have you talking to yourself either Acido. I'm not using my season ticket again. I think we will play decent today but against a team that we normally don't do well against, and with Wider as their manager, I think they'll be too strong for us. So defeat again I think unfortunately. Just hope the players continue to give it a go though today

I am pleased to see that he's found his best team and more importantly, not tinkering with it.

    1st Half
    Firstly.
Back to watching iFollow - oh dear - assistant commentator says something on the lines of
‘you can’t blame the fans from stopping away because of the position we are in the league’.
    Are these commentators Barnsley supporters!?!?!
Don’t they know that it’s not the position in the league why most are staying away?

    Anyway - onto the game.
    Nowt much to report.
Big lad up front nods it in for 1-0.
That’s what a big lad can do.
Only this time it’s Mads who stayed forward.

    Boro don’t look like scoring.

Great hold up play by Morris who lays it off for Bassi to pass it in to the net 2-0.
We desperately need more players in the squad that can hold the ball up like Morris.

Any neutral watching that first half would think it was Barnsley that were near the top of the league.

Still think we will lose tho.

    2nd Half
Evens at the start - then Bassi battles in a one to one and scores a great goal 3-0.

Then Middlesboro coming into it - but Barnsley fighting hard in defence.
Inexperience by Vita gives away a penalty that gives Middlesboro confidence to press forward.
    But still Barnsley defending well.

Morris goes off - so no one up front to hold the ball up.

    Middlesboro score a late goal.
    But it’s too late 3-2.

Fantastic fighting display by the Super Tykes.
Credit to Asbaghi and his staff for that.
Special mention to Quina, Wolfe and Gomes that ran their legs off.
    Brilliant.
