    What Will The West Do?

Ukraine are screaming for the West to ensure there’s a no fly zone and can understand this!

Do we just sit back whilst the Russian War Machine bombs the capital and murders thousands of civilians?

I say let’s go with a no fly zone even if this turns nuclear and a button is pressed. Is living in this world acceptable when a deranged lunatic is aiming bombs at a civilised city?

Some say it’s not the fault of Russian soldiers but they know right from wrong. Bit like saying it’s not the fault of a rapist or murderer as they had mental health issues!

So on that note it’s dog eat dog and hope these Russian soldiers are blown 20 foot in the air with the tanks!

God be with the Ukraine civilians and people!

The problem al, is that these Russian soldiers, like the majority of the Russian public, are only told what the state run media tells them. They've no idea what the actual truth is and what is going on.

I agree but when shooting and bombing civilians they know what they are doing then! May they all go to hell!

Whilst I do think that the more Russia escalates their current attacks, the greater may be the temptation for the West to intervene directly in terms of supporting a no fly zone or even air attacks on Russian forces within Ukraine (that 40 mile convoy must be mostly a sitting duck) sadly cannot see it happening. The alternative may be only to sit on the sidelines and watch the Ukraine being destroyed and many of its civilians killed (because sanctions and indirect aid will not stop this in time) but I believe this is how it will play out. Putin will care little for any condemnation of his actions and simply spin it as he has done all along about protecting Russia from western aggression and liberating Ukraine from a neo-nazi regime.

One of the problems, of course, is that NATO cannot do anything without US support and can't see Biden -or the American population-having a change of heart about that either because they don't want to be involved or else through fear of risking a NATO v Russia war. Germany too, will be particularly reluctant to engage in direct military action. At some point, however, Putin will have to be stopped and his constant brinkmanship called out. In the meantime many more innocent Ukrainians will die.
