    Elland Road Empty?

My brother advised me the Chelsea game might be at an Empty ER???

How exactly does punishing us have anything to do with sanctions. Last I checked we aren't owned by russians and we can make sure none of the gate goes to Abromovich and Putin.

Of course, nothing surprises me with the FA but this one seems way over the top.

That doesn’t sound right - the club have been granted a licence in relation to exemptions from the sanctions so that they can fulfill the season. Can’t see how that would impact on others clubs supporters.

Your brother is talking *******s, sure he isn't purposefully winding you up

Imagine the rage if no Leeds fans could go to Elland Road just because Chelsea sold their soul to a Russian tyrant

Arrant nonesense. Chelsea can't sell tickets, so there aren't likely to be many Chelsea fans, but Leeds are unaffected by any sales restrictions. Not sure if we could sell the away allocation to home supporters, but ER will rock like it always does.

More to the point is whether Chelsea will run out of working capital before they come to ER (18th April). If they become insolvent, there is (I suspect) at least the possibility that they would not be allowed to fulfil any fixture following the judgement of insolvency, and forfeit the game (and more importantly for LUFC, the three points that go with it).

There are rumours (the Sun!), that some kind of dispensation has been agreed, to allow Chelsea to access TV rights money, and prize money (qualification for Champions League etc), but there is no club confirmation (yet!).

    Watch this space!

I thought this was something to do with a recent visit there by one of our friends from Ireland!

Not quite as ridiculous as it sounds.

Appears they've asked the FA to ban Middlesboro from having fans at the FA cup tie. They have some big stones asking a championship team to forego the revenue they will get.

Situation could get real ugly by the time they play us. Hopefully the team will be in self destruct mode and the players all disguntled. that's a game few of us thought we'd even have a chance at. By that time maybe some of the players will be shutting down mentally.

Let's hope they aren't playing for big money contracts at that time!

The club will be sold and bought well before then, latest news relates to Nick Candy, property developer ; "London-based luxury property developer Nick Candy now has the funds in place to make a bid for Chelsea this week."
