    Carlos corberan

Here's a manager we should be looking at, under 23 coach and then, bielsas righthand man, until he went to Huddersfield, look where he's taking them, 2nd in the championship playing good football, no big names but working for each other and he's done it with very little money. If we end up back in the championship, or even miraculously not, he's a good shout.

Never was a "succession strategy" to account for when (not if), Bielsa decided enough was enough, or if there was (given the supposed communications between Orta and Marsch) it was dictated by the 49-ers. If there had been and it was suitably intelligent (and "independent") Corberan would have been an entirely logical and "fit for purpose" candidate.

He won't last 3 months, he'll walk or the fans will turn and oust him.

The clueless yank is taking us down and may not even see THIS season out.

    What a shambles.

His interviews are grating already if he mentions fear and confidence one more time …..

Help me understand here. So Ted was coaching when we lost games by multiple goals and were stuck at 23 points for ver a month and gave up goals in bucketloads.

Carlos would have left Huddersfield even though they are in the midst of a promotion run? You obviously think little of his character if you think he abandons his team now

Loved MB but he lost the plot at the end. his team quit on him or they just wore out. We were going down with him. If we go down now it’s not teds fault.

He will make a nice scapegoat for Leeds memory. Kind of like Simon is why we never made it to the prem

Personally, don’t think MB had lost the plot just hampered by injuries and lack of good enough players.

Don’t see how anyone else can overcome those issues either.

After only 2 games I admit we have to give Ted a chance, but time is against him already to change the way we played for bielsa and get the players away from his system to a new one, can't see it happening, pray he keeps us up.

If you look on you tube there is a video of him doing a talk about his tactics and more general stuff around it.

I fear his tactics are a little simplistic and one dimensional for the PL. The aim is to get the ball forward asap into the opposition penalty area in the most direct way to the penalty spot. He plays narrow with little width. Which causes two obvious problems - it’s easy to defend against and when we lose it there will be loads of space out wide.

If we do go wide the other side of the pitch tucks in to compress the width leaving a gaping hole for the other side to exploit on the switch if they win the ball back.

Look at the ‘highlights’ v Villa and how much space they had when they maintained their width.

We at times looked like an u9 team where you could throw a blanket over the whole team so compact were we.

I have FA coaching badges and even at level 1 they teach you about space and compression and in kids football to try to avoid that.

I so want Jesse to be successful but not only does the squad not have depth and is missing it’s best player but the tactics make us easy to play against.

It is a fallacy that Bielsa only had a single Plan A he has many variations of Plan A for different specific games but for an actual game he would stick to that version of Plan A he had chosen for that game.
