    Wycombe

Okay, never one of our favourite teams and wedded to big strong forwards to get amongst defenders and unsettle them. They won relatively easily on Tuesday night which, fortunately, means we're NOT going to be the ones to end their long run without a win, which is a bit of a relief!
However, can anyone, despite Cheltenham, see us holding out against them? Have we worked on long throws? Have we worked on stopping crosses? Have we worked on not giving away needless free kicks just outside the box? Which Dave Richards will we see in goals?
Hopefully, for once, we'll turn out the same starting eleven in consecutive games. If we can actually keep the ball perhaps we can get at them. We know their defence has been found out a few times recently and perhaps Porter/Long can find a way through. The important thing will be to stay solid in the first 15 mins of each half.
Pessimism still resides though so I'm going 1-2. Hopefully that winner doesn't occur after 90 minutes again.

Please keep the same starting XI ...
... why change a winning team.

Agree with you Gazan that the first 15 mins of each half is when we are most vulnerable plus the last 15 mins of added time (it feels longer than that sometimes)

I predicted 1-1 last week and we won, so why change a winning formula - so I'm going 1-1 again 😉

Predicted a 3-0 loss last week and got it badly wrong so I'll go for the same again, hopefully with the same outcome.

I take no pleasure in being spot on with my prediction but I did not think we would be as bad as we were bloody awful springs to mind. League 2 beckons and then non league the following season.

Sorry, can't let that go, we were not bloody awful. We were the better side for the majority of the second half, and if the unfortunate error that led to their second goal hadn't happened, then the overall result might have been different. We will be fine in League Two next season. In fact I'm looking forward to it already.

Well that certainly is a different point of view what I saw was a Wycombe team comfortably in control who dropped their levels for a while and allowed a very very very poor Crewe team back into the game. Wycombe were never in any danger of losing the game and it would have been a complete travesty had we got anything out of the game. Your comments about looking forward to the team being in league 2 next season says it all really the lack of ambition and acceptance of rank mediocrity is rife throughout the club and in the stands. A half decent Crewe team would have been able to have survived in league 1 this season. And if you are happy to accept league 2 football at league 1 prices with a non league budget well fair play to you but there will be plenty who vote with their feet next season so expect to see the gates dwindle by 30% if not more.

It was our No4 that gave away the ball to their player who then scored and looked who that was and it was yet another loan player we signed until the end of the season (how much did that cost us?) and so why did we sign these players at the expense of our famed academy and all we should do now is to return all the loan players to their clubs and play our academy players as we are surely down and that would give them valuable experience for next season...There really is no point in having an academy and signing other clubs players on loan! We may has well get rid of the academy all together, save £760k and just go out and sign amateurs from local football and one last thing...It was said at the fans forum that our scouting system is non existent when there are hundreds if not thousands of games being played and nobody watching them...How about some of our well paid managers and assistants going to watch them but then that would undermine their own jobs and why nobody is interested anymore unless they have had or having 10 years of coaching by people that have never played at a high level...

It seems the current board have fell asleep on the job and are content with the status quo..

If as suggested that National League players are on better wages than we can pay then something is sadly wrong with the management of our club....Didn't Billy Jones sign for Wrexham instead of a league club and so maybe that confirms the above...Time for a complete rethink...are they up to it though?

Did you hear the Stoke fans booing their fans after their home defeat against Blackpool? Fans who have paid good money are entitled to express their disastifaction and even DA agrees with that...
