    Wycombe Wanderers Post Match Thoughts?

Two positives from that game, we didn't lose and with a bit of luck we won't be playing them again this season. Actually make that three positives, another clean sheet and that's now 630 minutes in the league since we conceded a goal away from home. The worst case scenario had us only one point above MK at the end of play today but we are still four points clear of them with a game in hand. Two 'easier' games coming up and then the prospect of not playing in the league again for 3 weeks. It would be nice to bag 6 points and a few goals in those games.

    Thoughts?

As you were with the gap to MK so fairly content all in all.
Some positives, some bits to work on, nice to see us pretty miserly and resolute at the back again.
Wycombe always a difficult matchup for us, war of attrition. Wish we wouldn't just shell it forward against them, what they love, like us.
    Onto Lincoln at NYS.

Positives it’s as you were before start of play 4 points ahead arguably 5 with the goal difference clean sheet again what a horrible game but as you say at least it’s out of the way
Negatives from being a fairly free scoring team through the season we seem to have hit a bit of a drought 1 penalty scored in 3 league games we need to eke out a few more chances think Miller will help with that seems to have coincided with Barlaser going off the boil a bit ( sleepless nights baby)
I’m not too concerned because as mentioned were not conceding too many either hopefully make these next 2 home games count things will look a lot rosier

Pro's...we got a point and hopefully no injuries( only severe headache from all the heading). Hopefully never play them again for a while....

Cons......what a f*cking horrible team Wycombe are, Stockdale was wasting time from the 1st goal kick.
We hardly passed the ball between us, just hoofed it everywhere. Very poor from usbut, needs must some matches.

It was a good solid draw away against a decent team, the defense was excellent, with Mk dons and wigan drawing it is now on us to win against lincoln and make it a 7 point gap with 8 games to go. Wonderful to see Miller back and mcDonald getting back to his best.
negatives for me is we are struggling to score and even create chances at the moment (2 goals last 4 league games) the lack of a second striker is starting to show, ogbene cannot play down the middle we saw that today, wiles is not a natural No10 so makes it difficult. Even though he is a young lad we need a fit kayode to allow us to play our best formation. I didnt like the change to a back 4 today, it meant the midfield was bypassed and we couldn't really get out. We played well the first half but second they were the better team but it is a solid point, we will have to win all our home games i think so lets hope we take 6 points from the next 2 games to keep the gap there before we miss a couple of league games, assuming the Sunderland game is postponed for International duty

Bloody horrible game to watch, and I was expecting a good game today but it was awful, but then again isn't it always awful against Wycombe? We never really played any football today and the ball was up in the air far too much and not just from Wycombe either because we were as guilty as they were of just hoofing the ball up field. I really hope we don't have to play them next season, or anytime for that matter.
I don't know what to think after that game because our good flowing football seems to have deserted us recently, or have we just got the jitters at the thought of blowing this fantastic season apart? Well lads if you keep on playing like that then you WILL blow it, so come on and get back to what you do best, playing quick attacking football, on the floor.

All things considered that was an excellent point

One less game for someone to overhaul us and be out of the top two

    A decent day
Need to make the next two count but the team won't need to be told that

    They are awful.
I’m sorry but Ainsworth is a poor manager.
Imagine having that much lack of faith in your ability has a manger that you resort to those tactics. Truly the worst team I have ever witnessed by far ever ever ever.
    He’s a ****er

But got two draws against the league leaders and two clean sheets

    Not exciting, but effective
