    Barrow management sacked.

Which former managers in the lower leagues are still unemployed? Can’t see Tisdale fancying it.

I am not sure that this is in the best interests of the club. Barrow are getting exactly a point per game. With 9 games to play and getting 9 points or maybe just 8 points that would leave Oldham with too much to do.

Most changes of manager at the foot of League Two this season have produced a 'new manager bounce' but this one may prouce the opposite effect.

At the moment the confidence will not be totally gone because whilst Oldham & Stevenage have been losing Barrow have not lost all that many matches recently, just drawn a lot.

All of the teams that have sacked managers so far this season (Hartlepool excepted, where he left by choice) - and where they were sitting in the league when they made the decision.

    Forest Green
    Exeter
    Northampton
    Bristol Rovers
    Tranmere
    Newport (after 9 games, 15th)
    Swindon
    Port Vale
    Sutton United
    Mansfield
    Salford
    Hartlepool (after 19 games, 11th*)
    Crawley
    Walsall (after 31 games, 21st)
    Bradford (after 33 games, 11th)
    Harrogate
    Carlisle (after 31 games, 23rd)
Leyton Orient (after 35 games, 18th)
    Rochdale
    Colchester (after 24 games, 22nd)
    Barrow (after 37 games, 21st)
    Stevenage (after 37 games, 22nd)
    Oldham (after 25 games, 22nd)
    S****horpe (after 15 games, 24th)

The vast majority of sackings have happened with teams in 21st position or below - off the top of my head I can't remember us being in those positions all season? Interestingly, we're only one of three teams in the bottom half not to have made a change…

    Shows we have no money

Keith Curle is being mentioned on the Barrow forum. On there they reckon that the club has a top 7 football budget.
