    Steven Gerrard

Up to now? I’m happy enough, in fact, I’m excitedly optimistic about the next 12-18 months. I have a spring in my step, whilst being dragged around the streets of Kilkenny by my ever enthusiastic mut, Holte.

I like what SG is trying to achieve. Yes, he may well be ‘feathering his own nest’, but by fcku, that ain’t gonna hurt us in the big picture, is it?

We can be mesmerising to watch at times, and yet still be easily capable of being sh1t enough to keep us all on our toes.

There are favourites in the squad, that we all have soft spots for. Players that we all see something in. However I feel that this summer will see a lot of changes and a lot of disappointment for some.

I do trust that Steven Gerrard (I’ll never lower myself to the scouse version “Steeeevie Geeee”) to do the right thing, come what May.

    You?

Class act, happy to have been proved wrong when I thought he'd ran out of ideas.

I agree there'll be a lot of changes this summer - out the door will be Targett, El Ghazi, Trezeguet, Traore, Davis, Chuk, Guillbert, Steer, possibly Luiz & Bailey as SG doesn't typically use wingers. I hope we can hang onto Sanson and we start to see Archer getting regular gametime.

    Holding midfielder a must.

Really happy with him. I expect some big signings this summer. Were quite an attractive club now. Suarez and Kante would do me.

I am sure SG is working on the targets now, lots to get rid of which, should bring in some serious wedge. Maybe Konsa will leave as well? I would like to keep Luiz, Bailey and Sanson. You have to have a big squad. Add to the leaving: Young, Ings but surely not chuckie. I think we could recoup maybe 50 -60 million, we still have most of the Grealish money, so maybe 100 mill, maybe spend 100 mill. Yes I'm dreaming a bit here but 200 million which could do some real damage, I just hope Stevie can get some galactico Names and of course, number one, Get Coutinho on a perm!

I like Chuckie TD but the noise around protracted new contract negotiations I think is testing the patience of the club, he's had minimal game time too up until now so I think he'll be off. Bailey doesn't work hard enough off the ball and there's no room for passengers at this level.

Keep Coutinho - 100%, Luiz has been better recently but is much more suited to playing further forward so who makes way for him?

I too am a fan of Carney, but there must be something in training, or attitude, that has held him back a little. Coming up through the ranks, I thought that he had a brighter future than Ramsey. I still believe that he is better on the ball than Ramsey, but the latter does appear more switched on.

Maybe it’s an age thing? Carney is just 18 (Ramsey 21 in May) and maybe he and his advisors feel, as is with modern society, instant gratification outweighs common sense.

If Steven G is the manager that I hope he is, then the right decision will be made for the Club, this summer. He has to continue to make it unequivocally clear who is running the show.
    Shape up, or ship out.

There is of course the assumption that if Carney is playing up, then he wouldn’t even make the matchday 18 in the first place. The plot thickens.

I think in normal circumstances he would be in the 1st 11. However we are big spenders now and competing with 30m players.
