So we are back for another tilt at the championship.
Will we be better equipped for it this time around?
The last 2 times have been effected by going up in the play offs meaning having less time to plan and prepare and a shorter pre season. Then going up on the PPG due to Covid when lets face it there was just so much uncertainty around and it caused havoc with the transfer market.
This time I hope a plan is already in place & new players have already been identified. With a full pre season and the experience of previous failures then I'm feeling confident this time around that we will be ok.
I already can't wait for the new season

We’ll do what we always do and leave whatever needs doing to last minute
Warney and co have (seem to have) learnt from past mistakes these last few games have told me so I’m confident we’ll stay up this time round
Bring it on
Yes we will. The Manager is learning all the time. We’ve just done the double with the best team for ages.
Have some faith that we know what we need and will act accordingly.
We will stay up comfortably imo.
Bring it on.
Last month TS said that if we achieve the target of promotion back to the Championship, there will be major finance available for the manager to spend on recruitment. No doubt now realising that this project is worth investing in. UTM.
How well equipped we are is a phrase used to basically mean how much money the Board are prepared to throw at it.I don't know why the word 'equipped is used'. Ironically many people, including I,thought that we should have stayed up last time,in fact we were 2 minutes from doing so,so on that basis we don't need to alter much from what we did then.Does anyone have any knowledge behind the incredible adaptions to Championship life by Luton and Blackpool? They were in no better position than we were/are and seem to making a far easier job of it.I'm wondering where their money is coming from.
Strengthen Upfront & the defence then well be fine in my opinion..keepers & midfield is OK as it is.
I'm quietly confident.
On the fence with this one, we need at least another 5 good players, spend money wisely no injured players & good loans but wages will determine who we buy.
With regards managing the situation of being in The Championship, assuming we keep the same management team we'll be better equipped than we were last time but that doesn't necessarily means we'll be well enough equipped to survive without making some changes.
With regards finances, unless another investor steps in we'll be as well equipped as TS is prepared to equip us within the boundaries of what he's prepared to put in and how much he can bring in through running RUFC 'the business'. Unless he suddenly adopts an attitude of 'sh!t or bust' to go for the Premiership Dream (and with what he'd be up against it would more likely be sh!t and bust) then I don't expect him to pawn his family jewels for RUFC in the same way I wouldn't pawn mine.
