Might Stevie G decide to chuck it..?

Everyone knows he does not think much of Everton.

Might he be decided to chuck Saturday's game?

I agree. No way is he going to throw the game away. He’s a winner by nature and will want to finish this season on a positive note.

    Just asking.

Talking of "gentlemen's agreements" and chucking games, did anyone else attend Deepdale in the early seventies when Burnley needed a point to be crowned Second Division Champions, and the Nobenders needed a point to stay up?

Villa need one more point to stay up mathematically and we could use four points from our two remaining fixtures against the Villains to pile pressure on the Toffees. Hmmmmmm....

There was a throw in just in front of us in that game at Deepdale, ten minutes to go, can't remember who's throw it was, the ball was on the ground by the touchline, some Burnley players looked at it, some Nobbers looked at it, no one moved to pick it up. In the end the ref had to run over and actually instruct one of the players to take the throw in. I'd not say the game was rigged from the outset, but there was certainly an understanding in play for at least the last half hour, you don't try to score and we won't try to score.

Can't imagine anything so blatant this Saturday, far too much scrutiny from TV and the media for that, but.....................

If I recall correctly sinkov at the time the venerable Bob Lord was a Director of both Preston North End and Burnley. So obvious was the conflict of interest the FA immediately banned any person from being a Director of two clubs simultaneously. Dead right too!

it's like a penalty shoot out with Everton with us going first, but every time we score they score. We just need Leeds to roll over.

I knew Bob got involved with Accy Stanley, and then when he found out the extent of their debts he just as quickly uninvolved himself, but I never knew he was on the board at PNE as well, that's a new one on me,

he's no need to chuck it - they've had one win from the last six games, four of them losses....it not as if they're Chelsea or United - and anyway, like most other PL teams, are mediocre, so played fair, worse we should suffer is a draw///but with a home crowd, fighting for survival, that should give us the edge.
