    Kieffer Moore gets promotion

And Ben Pearson in the same team.
That’s £100 Million just dropped into the till at Bournemouth.

    Foresight - int it great.
    Wish Barnsley had a bit.

Ive got no time for the likes of Bournemouth Fc, but I did think that they would be one of the favourites for promotion at the start of the season.
It sure helps having all that money to spend dun't it. 👎

There seems to be a recurring theme where clubs with Premier league parachute payments are getting promotion every season from the Championship. Here's a list of promoted clubs going back 7 seasons who've been promoted whilst receiving these parachute payments-

21/22 Fulham & Bournemouth (possibly Sheffield United)

    20/21 Norwich & Watford

    19/20 WBA & Fulham

    18/19 Aston villa

    17/18 Fulham

    16/17 Newcastle United

    15/16 Burnley & Hull City

There's clearly a huge advantage for teams who are being rewarded financially for relegation from the top flight. It's almost becoming boring and predictable now. Looad o shyte

It was one of the worst things they did, in creating the Prem and bringing in the parachute payments.
Why not put a cap/limit of some sorts, on teams when they're in the Prem. Stop them spending stupidly so then they don't need the help of future payments for 3 more years, to try and make relegation feel a bit easier. 😬
Its not a level playing field anymore when those teams always have a few extra aces to play, what chance does that give us.
And its disgusting how much debt teams are allowed to add up (like Brighton did for example), while chasing the Prem cash windfall.

Can’t remember the score at Oakwell - but we bet them at their place last season.
And they had just dropped out of the prem.

What they showed against Forest was blood and guts.
    A hard fought battle.
Which we had spades of last season.
    But nothing this season.

Two things, Pearson was not our player & foresight regarding Moore is difficult being that Bournemouth are his third club since he left us & Wigan & Cardiff have not made it to the top flight although I loved Moore at Oakwell & I am delighted for him, cracking player but you cannot tie him down anywhere , more clubs than Tiger Woods

Wasn’t Pearson sold by Man U for just £1 million.
But we didn’t even have that to spend back then.

If Moore was still at Barnsley we would be nowhere near the bottom of the league this season.
So selling a player for £2m has cost the club £7m.

Yes - I remember the 0-4 score line now.
And two things about the game.
The Woodrow mistake and every attempt they had they seemed to score.
Probably the two Bornmuf results are the prime example of how much Barnsley were able to turn the results around within just one season.

So a naff little tinpot club like Bournemouth comes from nowhere, thanks to a Russion billionaire. And he buys/bankrolls them a few good seasons in the Champship, and then eventual promotion to the Prem.
And what makes it worse is Sky sports are all over them and kissing them, and saying what a fantastic fairytale this is etc.

Aww pass me the sick bag will you. 😵
