    New manager

I know our hierarchy don’t like spending money but Mowbray will be available for free, Farke is also available

    Surely we can’t keep Brucey

Bruce needs to go first then the players need to be let go....keeping Bruce, in my opinion, would be a poor sign going forward....

I'm convinced that Bruce will be appointed. All the noises that I'm hearing seem to point in that direction. While I've nothing against Bruce, I think that we need a complete change with a young, innovative person in charge.

Of course we can, along with (De)Livermore, Molumby, Reach, Bartley etc, etc… 🥵

The mates club is Gourlay and Bruce and Bruce plus Livermore & Reach!

Really does stink! Gourlay ‘ I will listen to the supporters ‘ he said!!! Will he f uck!

Same squad - same treatment room with same players - same attitude and a couple of frees!

How the hell can Bruce big up the Button signing is a joke!! Who gives a flying f uck whether Button stays or decides to stay in Brighton!

    Complete joke!

Bruce says he let Carroll go because we have Dike and Zohore……!!!! If he cannot see that Zohore is a total waste of space, then there is no hope. Carroll and Zohore, complete opposites, one always tries his best and the other does **** all, and of course, we keep the latter.

Exactly Ketts - Bruce said he’s an admirer of Sawyers too! Sawyers would fit will into our midfield - slow as a snail and lazy!!!

Have some reservations over Mowbray but would certainly take Farke. Problem is that Gourlay is obviously mates with Bruce and can so can't see us changing manager for next season. Tbh, I expected more from Bruce but despite all the talk it looks like same old rubbish for next season with Livermore, Reach, Bartley and Mowatt virtually nailed on. Can't see us trying to keep Clarke either.

Crux of the problem is that we have far too many players for certain positions who are on too much money and simply not good enough but little chance of getting rid of them and no money to buy in decent new ones. This situation would be the same whichever manager we had but we certainly need one who won't give in to "player power" , is prepared to give our younger prospects a chance and will challenge every member of the squad and get their attitude turned around.

It is possible that, with the right manager, players like O'Shea, Ajayi and Robinson can recover previous form and we can hope that Dike can inspire Grant but our most obvious failing is in midfield and we are desperate for some energy and creativity coming from there. If we could solve only this problem we would surely fare better even with our existing defence and forward line. Far easier said than done though😞

If it were a level playing field then I would also take Carroll over Zahore and I suspect not many supporters would disagree.

However, the reality is that Carroll’s contract expires this month and Zahore doesn’t. Will we be able to get rid of Zahore for a fee, doubt it.

Also whilst I would chose Carroll over Zahore I wouldn’t give him a new contract. Don’t think we need a big target man as our centre forward especially one who I don’t think is likely to score as many goals as Grant and to be honest I don’t rate Grant as a good enough main striker anyway.

Yes Carroll runs around but that is the least I would expect for anyone wearing the shirt.

Its clear from the comments how all of us think. We have no optimism whatsoever with Bruce, the owners and the squad. We are very close to going down a couple of divisions with this mentality.
