    Chelski just sold

For £4.5 billion. Not unbelievable but the only way it can be justified is by the new owners arguing that they should relocate, build a huge capacity stadium in a much cheaper part of the capital and build blocks of luxury flats on the prohibitively expensive riverside site.

Probably most to be bought by the mates of Abramovich.

Funny how one of the 'Big 6'-and particularly a London club-can be sold within weeks when it not ony took ours 18 months but the PL passed it through gritted teeth.

Exactly considering how they have built up enormous debts over the tenure of the Ruski and hardly within the fair play rules.

Sets the precedent of a top 4 club being worth billions now.

Makes the purchase price of every club capable of getting into that club a steal.

    Separately...
Let's see how this plays out. Glad this deal happened after Fat Pig sold us otherwise he'd have wanted another £100m for the extra speculative value.

that's actually a very good point, Trini.

Also good that we were taken over before this new body is set up to regulate dealings.

Couple of things that bother me with this Chelsea carry on. Who has been in charge and acting as "the owner(s) and have they done the Owners and Directors test for doing so.
Then there is the debt to Abramovich. Supposedly over 1bn quid. This can't just be written off with a sale, it's clearly in breach of FFP. If it gets written off owners could just plough endless money in and then just write the debt off to abuse FFP. Remember part of the sale price for our deal was to repay the fat cùnts supposed loan to the club.
The whole thing stinks and that's before we get to the speed of the deal to sell the club.

It all stinks from top to bottom since the supposed first sale for less than £3billion was put on the table along with Abramovich's declaration that "ALL" proceeds from the sale would go towards compensating those unfortunates suffering in Ukraine.

He was careful not to state whether the beneficiaries would be Ukrainians or Ruskies.
