Thread: Jesse Marsch current thoughts?

  1. #1

    Jesse Marsch current thoughts?

Anyone have any opinions on how he has done so far and long term suitability.

I quite like him and he’s done reasonably well so far. Not sure about his end of game celebrations when we lost 4-0 and not convinced his tactics will bring success but in the circumstances he’s done well.

I wouldn’t fancy him getting us out of the EFL.

He was brought in to keep us up and if we go down he has failed.

    That is all.

He's toast if he doesn't keep us up. May not be his fault but that's the way the ball bounces when you are a coach.

would love to have Carlos C but appears we might be passing each other

In all honesty, the novelty has worn off and the team looks no different as before. Burnley is in the same position they may revert to old ways now. Always happens to change of managers.

Another of Orta's peace of great work! In his ear for 2 years whilst apparently, we had the best manager in the world and then give him 3 years without knowing our fate? We still don't know the 49er's move amongst all the crap going on will they pay all that money for a championship side?

Think the 49ers possible takeover could be key ( not just in head coach terms ) If we stay up, all would appear rosy, if the worst happens and its back to the Championship, alot could change - Marsch / 49ers go cold , Radz who knows, but Phillips/Raph/Meslier, all wave bye bye.
    Fingers crossed & stay positive.

Marche has been here for 8 games....resulting in 11 points, if you average that over the season we would end up on 52 points, make of that what you would like.

Answer - They wont pay ANY money for a side in the Championship, thats not why they invested in Leeds to start with.

Agreed, but as things stand Everton have that game in hand, and their run in on paper looks a little easier than ours. All down to the results in these last 4 (or 5) games.

I think he is a very over rated manager, don't really see the tactics myself and I am confident if Bielsa had the same players back and the run of teams we've played against we'd have got similar results. One lucky win v Wolves, one near bottle job vs Norwich and Watford gifting us goals does not fill me with any confidence.

Really hope he keeps us up but even if he did I am just not sure this narrow, hit it long style is going to produce much over a full season.
