Looks a tricky division lads (and lasses). League 1 seems to get stronger year on year.

I think Ipswich will be strong (they've thrown ridiculous money - for the level - at it for the last 2 seasons and it looks like they may have finally stumbled upon a manager who has clicked).

Derby could be anything. If the new owner comes in and clears the decks, and gives Shrek some backing then they could be un-touchable. Then again, if they get off to a bad start and possibly underestimate the division then who knows ......

Sadly, I think SWFC will be there or thereabouts again. Even with a reduced wage budget from last season they'll still have the clout to attract the better players for the third tier. That said, I'm not totally convinced about Darren Moore as a manager. He reminds me of your old boss Lee Johnson in that his teams seem to go in streaks - both winning and losing. And it only takes two defeats on the bounce and the truffle diggers at S6 get very restless!

Peterborough at that level are just annoying. From absolutely nowhere they will find some goal scorer who fires in 25+ goals and they'll be a threat (albeit a play off one I suspect).

Teams that I think will be weaker than last year are MK Dons, Plymouth and possibly Oxford. I think each will lose their key players and I'm not convinced they will replace like for like.

That's good news for you, but I think will be countered by the fact that the other 3 "big" clubs are slowly starting to show signs of turning the corner: Pompey, Bolton and Charlton will all be up there I think. Bolton could be genuine contenders.

The last one to keep an eye on is everybody's favourite: Wycombe Wanderers. The media will have you believe they are a real fairytale story. Load of b*llocks! They have significant (American) money behind them and a more than healthy playing budget. They also have a manager who knows how to win football matches (but by god it's awful to watch).

The rest of the division will huff and puff. There will be teams like Bristol Rovers, Burton, Accrington, Lincoln who will be stubbornly difficult to beat on their own patch but usually their small squad sizes mean that they suffer with just a couple of injuries to key players.

There's always a real surprise package in every division. It could be Shrewsbury this year. They looked really good at our place late on in the season.

It will be interesting to see how Forest Green get on. Will it be a step too far for them or, like Wycombe, will their financial backing help them to punch above their weight?

Acknowledging that this is your board I wont go into how I think we'll (The Millers) fair this season. Partly because you won't be interested, but also because, frankly I havent got a clue!

I din't know Wycombe had some big investment behind them.
Yes they are a horrible team to watch at times and that sums up their manager Ainsworth. He gets them to do what they do best, and its awful but effective.

And now that P. Vale are up, Ive noticed a number of our fans are saying what a horrible bunch of fans they are.
