    Creative Ways to Gain Support

With the challenge of gaining new fans all that harder now, I thought a thread about how we could gain more support would be useful. Maybe someone from the club reads this?

My suggestion is we make a real effort with new students to the universities. Not the half ars@d attempts in the past. I think you need to go to a few consecutive games to really get the feel of being a fan. So I suggest some type of ‘Welcome to Notts Offer’ where you get three consecutive match tickets for a tenner or something.

    Thoughts?

The Club is doing pretty well on this front in all honesty

Carry on being in and around the promotion race whichever league we're in.

I’d start by getting some of the followers on here first to come down and see what happens at a match.

    I didn’t realise we was?
I remember they used to do one match ticket and a ticket to a nightclub for a fiver.. but for me it’s about consecutive games so you get a feel for the football club.

Having an FA Cup run to get the club more coverage both locally and nationally it's what both Mansfield and especially Lincoln managed to achieve in the seasons they got back to the Football League.

Success on the pitch is of course the best way to get more fans, but that can’t be guaranteed. I’m talking about creative ideas to attract more fans that aren’t based on winning games.

I know this isn’t necessarily the agreed opinion on here, but Forest doing well will have basically zero impact on our support unless we reach a similar level to them. Right now we might as well be playing a different sport.

Notts’ support largely comes from family ties and it’s very good for the level we’re at. That’s not going to change any time soon.

If we’re worried about them just getting all of the kids who don’t already have a parental tie to one of the clubs, then I’d focus on highlighting what we are that they aren’t. That is cheaper, more accessible, playing at 3pm on a Saturday as opposed to the random times they’ll now be playing etc etc

I suspect there'll be a match next season where they'll do really cheap tickets to break the non league attendance record again.

I think we should do very cheap tickets for students and kids and fill the stadium
