Reading Gru's continued obstacle for our club not to sign players over 30 years of age made me wonder if his argument holds any weight.
I honestly think that we need some more age/experience to be able to compete at this level. Indeed if you look at Luton last season then that experience was highly valuable to them.
Then look at the tabled bids for Smith's signature at the same age. Most of us will be happy if he resigned for us at 30. Then look at Mo Salah who is also 30 plus other players that are still playing well after 30 and at the top European level.
Is 30 just a number? What do you think?
