Good timing with the summer window just around the corner

"Awaiting Premier League approval" . . . words to fill us with dread.

But yes, great news and timing - probably our most important signing of this window, regardless of who we actually sign.

The impact I expect him to have will be immense.

Fantastic news-everything you hear about him is positive.

    Another piece of the jjigsaw.

But, aye, Jammy-I felt exactly the same when I read those words.

I would have been happy if we'd appointed this scarecrow to the role

I'm over the moon we're just appointing a DOF and actually being run like a Premier League club

Looks like he must have been given approval. On the PL website.

I know he's a bitter ****, that does it for the controversy but Simon Jordan has done it again - slagging off our appointment of Ashworth, saying no other big club wanted him and that's why he's come to us.

Anything for a litter dig at us.

Jordan's mouth is bigger than the crack between his legs and he opens both too much without thinking. All for attention.

He's just a has-been nobody now who craves attention from any sucker who will listen. Just ask the Palace fans.

As well as that when he owned Palace he knew nothing about the game and since he left he's learned nothing more.

You have to wonder why some people with no connection to us and who were never good enough to support us are so obsessed with us, and Simon Jordan is by no means the only one:

When we were getting screwed over by Ashley - obsessed
    Takeover first mooted - obsessed
Waiting 18 months for it to happen - obsessed
    It happened - obsessed
    Bruce dismissed - obsessed
    Eddie appointed - obsessed
    January window - obsessed
    Staying up - obsessed
    Upcoming window - obsessed
When we are competing - will inevitably be obsessed

They really need to find a different hobby.
