    EFL rules

Looks like the five subs is back

clubs will be able to make five substitutions in league games from next season

7⃣ Clubs will be able to include seven players on the bench, with each side only permitted a maximum of three opportunities to make changes during the match

Please forgive me for asking topsy as to me one thing contradicts the other.
You say clubs can make 5 substitutions in the top part, but then say 7 players on the bench but only make 3 substitutions?

You can substitute multiple players at a time but only 3 times

I think we need a discussion on the best substitution formation

    2-1-2
    3-1-1
    5-0-0

The possibilities are endless but I'm sure Gru will tell us what's best

does this mean that our main asset of being the fittest team and out running them, wont make much difference if a team can bring on 5 subs. This will work in favour of teams that can afford better paid players, knowing that they can rotate players and have a stronger squad.

Aren't all rule changes done so that it's made harder for the smaller clubs to succeed, for example changing cup formats etc like the champions league so that only the top sides will ever reach the final

They want small clubs to take part to a degree ,but not to actually win ,no no they only want them to be a side that battled bravely, but bigger side won in the end kind of thing...

I'm sure Warne said he preferred it when there was more subs.

    I think he did

I’m not sure it’s an advantage for some clubs tbh but if it helps us then so be it 😂
