    World Cup of Soccer 2026

    Venues announced today for the 2026 World Cup of Soccer being held jointly in Mexico/USA/Canada. 3 in Mexico, 2 in Canada and 11 in the US including San Francisco/Santa Clara, Miami and Seattle in case England qualify the US MMadsters (CT, Sota and myself) want to join the throngs of sunburnt, bald headed, portly fans.

    At least in 4 years time it'll be back to the normality of being a summer competition.

    Clarkey, you obviously didn’t see her outside Buckingham Palace on the Jubilee celebrations pal and yes she’s currently on tour in the UK.

    Saw her at Wembley years ago and she was brilliant.

    I saw her a couple of times at the NEC I think early 80’s and will never forget the buzz , brilliant performer

    Out of all the performer’s she was miles better than any of them & I’m not a fan.Not bad for 78.

    I heard they made the roof there so high to accommodate the fact that RUFC and their hoofball style might play there one day

    The 2026 WC will be the first to feature 48 teams. There'll be less teams not at the WC than teams there.

    Estimates are that on average each game will generate about $200M for the hosting city. Is that close to what Rotherham will be getting this summer from the women's Euros?

    Just seen that 48 teams will be split into 16 groups of 3, all in group play each other, top 2 qualify. So basically 48 games will be played to eliminate just 16 teams, same as this year but in 2026 there will be 32 teams entering the KO stage so 16 extra games (pay days) for FIFA.
