Over estimated today's temperature by about 10%,.......not as bad as the COVID crew but 10% out is pretty bad

    Unprecedented temperatures.

Nearly as high as the highest ever recored in the country.

    So.................... not unprecedented then?

1976 - 14 consecutive days over 30C in parts of Englandshire - yet the odd spell of two or three days now is clear evidence of man made global warming.

A couple of feet of snow - clear evidence of man made global warming.

A bit of flooding - clear evidence of man made global warming, nothing to do with failure to maintain waterways.

We're still coming out of an ice age and the earth is warming naturally - clear evidence of man made global warming.

Not even sure I'm that now.

They're all ****s and I'm feeling myself swaying back to my youthful beliefs and thinking anarchy would be better than the muppets in charge.

Weather woman on itv said " if it wasn't cloudy and windy tomorrow we cud be talking about temperatures of 45 degrees"

    But it is cloudy

In other news if my aunty had *******s we wud be talking about my uncle.

And when was it acceptable for a newsreader to say " temperatures are well high".......how was that script approved.

    Worst case scenario speculation.

Railway lines might buckle, but probably won't.

People might be drowning in their droves trying to cool down, but most are sensible enough not to so thyey probably won't.

Dogs might die of heat stroke out on their walks, but then again dogs aren't stupid enough to get themselves into that state and owners aren't likely to be going on three hour walks with no access to water or shade so likely won't.

A small area of runway at Luton has an issue so the heat could melt all our runways and roads, but probably won't.

I've ranted enough, I need to get a drink of water and to sit in the house with the blinds down for an hour. Thankfully the nanny state told me to do that so I know it's the right thing to do; otherwise I might have died.

    Runway at Luton melted.

It was about a 5 yard square bit of tarmac 🙄

And they never actually said it melted, said there was a problem. Maybe there was an issue and the heat exacerbated it, but it never melted because of the heat - if it was the heat the whole thing would go surely?

Meanwhile Prince Charles while on a trip to Cornwall was complained that today’s heatwave was caused by global warming caused by CO2 emissions. Prince Charles has a cheek complaining about global warming when he is part of the problem by him promoting heavily peated scotch whisky.

I reckon his jet setting lifestyle may be making more of a personal contribution to his perceived global warming than his penchant for delicious Islay whisky.
