O/T:- Halifax player on Love Island

I've genuinely never watched this TV programme. But i'd be pretty irritated if some of our players had to miss the bulk of pre-season to become a reality TV star. Wonder what fans of the Shaymen make of it.

Wouldn't be too displeased if it was one of our players. Rather someone who isn't committed to the cause outs themselves.

Signed a contract extension recently so that is probably the controversial bit. Football is a short career and who's to say he's earning enough to sustain himself post-football? Could be life-changing money off sponsors etc if it goes well for him.

I would want to cancel his contract with the club. Either committed to the cause or not. He's not, he's made his choice. No-one is bigger than the club.

I think that is Halifax’s stance. It was quite obvious that they were pissed off.
